This course focuses on the exciting Festival and Entertainment sector, Music and festivals were estimated to be worth £2.6 billion to the UK economy in 2019 and the entertainment sector £62.8 billion in 2017.  

Engagement with industry professionals and work experience throughout your course and assessments, provides you with the skills to be successful in this fast paced industry.

Careers at the end of this course include festival management, festival operations, tour management, venue management and artist management.

Modules include:  Managing festival and venue outcomes, Managing entertainment, The Festival and entertainment industry sector, Festivals and Enterprise, Festival and Entertainment Marketing, and Destination Entertainment.  

 

If you have ambitions to set up your own business this course offers you the opportunity to work for yourself through schemes such as our enterprise team and i-lab facilities.  The i-lab is a dynamic co-work business incubation space located on campus, the enterprise and i-lab team offer workshops and 1-2-1 business advice appointments. So you can develop and grow your business with support of the University whilst you study. 

We currently have a relationship with leading festival organisation Festival Republic which are part of the Live Nation group who are a leading global entertainment company.  Our students have the opportunity to gain behind the scenes work experience through this partnership at  Leeds & Latitude Festival.
