Gaining visibility of your event among your key audiences is ever more challenging as we live in a very cluttered world full of advertising messages. We therefore can plan and design fabulous events but must be equally effective in how we initially reach the desired audience. Fortuitously the emergence of new communication forms, such as social media, are a great weapon for us to use. Perhaps most of all we benefit from the very nature of our ‘product’. By delivering great events we have a platform to trigger meaningful relationships with attendees that, if we manage it effectively, can then be used productively in the promotion and marketing of future events. Nevertheless promoting your event is a very specific challenge that is integral; to the success of most events.
