Communication and Events Placement

Communication – whether internally to our staff or externally to the media and other key stakeholders – is central to our success. Our department is responsible for crafting stories appropriate to the audience and making them engaging and timely. It’s down to us to make sure they are sent via the correct channel, be it our internal TV screens, our app, social media or through our events.

What will you be doing?

  • Taking ownership for creating engaging content and publishing it across various media channels (including social media, the employee app and digital signage).
  • Being involved in the planning, organisation and execution of events across the plant for both internal and external visitors including the delivery of plant tours.
  • Taking the lead on creating awareness and engagement for our house charity.
  • Ensuring we stay updated with the latest BMW Group standards by improving and introducing new communication channels.
  • Managing administration activities and assisting with photo archiving, escorting photographers / film crews and updating plant information.
  • Liaising with employees of all levels across the departments including those office based and on the shop floor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
  • A passion for communicating and engaging with people.
  • Flexible with working hours and potential travel requirements.
  • Driving License is essential
  • Interested in current affairs with an awareness of potential attractive articles.
  • An understanding of a range of IT software and systems including social media.
  • Familiarity with photo editing and ambition to develop your digital media skills.
