Situated on the outskirts of Barnsley, the newly refurbished Tankersley Manor Hotel and Spa boasts 98 bedrooms, a spectacular alfresco tipi dining concept, the Brasserie restaurant and bar operation plus numerous function facilities for events and weddings. Located within a 15-minute drive from Sheffield, this fabulous property really is the hotel of choice for weddings in South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

We are looking for enthusiastic & motivated Conference & Banqueting Assistants to join our Events team.

The role:
We are looking for Bar and Waiting staff who want to work in our events team ahead of a busy wedding & event season at the hotel. Your role and the service you provide will be vital to ensure that weddings, events and conferences run smoothly and that our guests have a great experience.

Key information:

  • Immediate start available
  • Regular hours
  • This role is flexible work and there will be a variety of different shifts available, mainly evenings and weekends
  • Great for students and part time workers

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving guests drinks
  • Serving food in a variety of different service styles including: plated service, banqueting and buffet
  • Keeping both back and front of house tidy, clearing plates and debris
  • Delivering great hospitality to guests at all times
  • Taking payments from guests
  • Delivering a friendly professional service to ensure guest enjoy a fantastically run service

Skills required:

  • You will be personable, helpful and friendly with a desire to deliver a good service
  • You will be able to multitask and enjoy working in a busy environment in a customer facing role
